BA(Hons) Interior Design

Course Overview

The aim of this programme is to produce professional interior designers that would positively develop an ability to be independent and influential thinkers capable to generate imaginative, innovative ideas, concepts and solutions for a commercial, domestic and leisure interiors.

Entry requirements

Higher School Certificate (HSC A level)

The entry requirement for admission to study for the BA (Hons) Interior Design programme should not be less than the following:

EITHER Pass in:

3 subjects at A-Level and 1 subject at Subsidiary Level at Higher School Certificate Examination;
Or Pass in:
2 subjects at A-Level and 2 subjects at Subsidiary Level at the Higher School Certificate Examination;
Or Pass in:
3 subjects at A-Level at the London General Certificate Examination.
Or
The French Baccalaureate
Or
The International Baccalaureate
Or
Qualifications awarded by other recognised institutions and approved by Academic Council as satisfying the minimum requirements for admission

Note:

• Eligible Candidates will be requested to present a portfolio (preferably a Digital portfolio)

• Candidates will be assessed on both academic qualifications and portfolio for the selection process
• International students not fulfilling the above criteria must have either the international English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum test score of seven (7) for admission or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum test score of 550 for the paperbased test or a minimum test score of 79 for the internet-based test for admission.

.Registration Fees - per year: Rs. 6,000
.Tution Fees per Year: Rs. 150,000

Note

1. As announced in the Budget Speech 2025/2026, the Free Tertiary Education Schemes (FTES) has been reviewed to cover only full-time students as from academic Year 2025-2026.

The scheme covers tuition fees for Full-Time Registered Students of Mauritian Nationality enrolled in a recognized first award certificate, first diploma and first undergraduate programme. This exemption will apply for payment of tuition fees only, administrative fees and registration fees will be paid by the students.
