Pearson BTEC Level 5 (HND)Higher National Diploma in Art and Design (Arts Practice)

Course Overview

This course is intended for students wishing to pursue a career in the field of Art and Design.

Entry requirements

3 credits at SC /‘O’ level and at least a pass in English Language

At least 2 credits at SC/'O' level including Art/Design related subject and at least a pass in English AND National Certificate Level 3 in Jewellery Manufacturing and Design OR any equivalent qualification acceptable to the Institute

AND

2 ‘A’ levels preferably in one subject related to Art/Design OR Level 3 Pearson BTEC Extended Diploma in Art and Design OR Level 3 Pearson BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art & Design OR Mature candidates having a creative portfolio in Art & Design and at least 3 years experience in the relevant field OR any equivalent qualification acceptable to the institute.

Eligible Candidates will be requested to present a portfolio (preferably a Digital portfolio)

Course Content

Fees

Administrative Fees per Annum : Rs 5,000 ( Full-Time)/( Part-Time)

Deposit (Refundable): Rs 4,000

Pearson Registration Fee: £ 330

Higher National Student Annual Fee: £ 24 ( Applicable for the second year and other subsequent years)

*Tuition Fees per Annum for Local/SADC Countries Students : Rs 45,000

Tution Fee per Annum for International Students : Rs 150,000

Note

1.* In January 2019, Government decided to provide free tertiary education level courses (award certificate, diploma and degree) run on full time or part time mode by Public Education Institutions (PEIs). The scheme covers tuition fees for students of Mauritian Nationality enrolled in a recognized first award certificate, first diploma and first-degree programme on either full-time, part-time mode. This exemption will apply for payment of tuition fees, only administrative fees and registration fees will be paid by the students. Click here for more details

2. **The Higher National (HN) Student Annual Fee is applicable for those students continuing into their second or subsequent year of study.
